The application areas of oxygen generator

Air, as a mixture, contains approximately 20% oxygen. Oxygen has a wide range of applications, including metallurgy, mining/mineral processing/gold processing, ozone, wastewater treatment, oxygen enriched sports, outdoor sports, medical care, and home care.

As early as the early stage of oxygen production technology development, due to the large equipment volume of oxygen generators, the threshold for oxygen application was high. However, with the development of PSA oxygen production technology, obtaining and using oxygen has become easy and convenient. Many industries or fields have started to have their own oxygen production systems, among which common ones are:

1. Metallurgy

In the steel industry, sending oxygen or air with added oxygen to the steelmaking furnace through a blower can effectively increase steel production and reduce energy consumption. Meanwhile, oxygen promotes the conversion of carbon into carbon dioxide, which helps to reduce iron oxide into purer iron compounds.

2. Mining and beneficiation

The extraction rate and productivity of the final product are key performance indicators for the mining industry, especially the gold mining industry. Traditionally, compressed air is used to improve the extraction rate of mineral products, but due to only 21% oxygen in the air, the oxidation effect is limited. Although these mines are located in remote areas with limited conditions for transporting bulk materials, an increasing number of miners and mining companies are using PSA (pressure swing adsorption) oxygen production technology for on-site oxygen supply due to their effectiveness and reliable performance.

3. Ozone

Ozone can be produced by silent discharge using dry oxygen and an AC voltage of 5-20kV.

4. Wastewater and sewage treatment

By oxygenation, microbial activity can be improved, and microorganisms can be utilized to treat wastewater and wastewater.

5. Recovery and treatment of exhaust gas

The exhaust gas recovery and decomposition device is equipped with an ozone decomposition catalyst inside, which is used for the decomposition of ozone oil, ozone water, and tail gas to discharge oxygen, protecting the safety of operators, and the cost is relatively low.

6. Outdoor homework and sports

Supply breathing; Used in hypoxic, hypoxic or anaerobic environments (such as diving, mountaineering, high-altitude flight, medical rescue, etc.).

Hospitals treat suffocated and endangered patients. The use of oxygen in nursing homes for healthcare and medical oxygen needs in emergency vehicles and other scenarios.

8. Aviation and aerospace

Mobile PSA oxygen production and refueling trailers and oxygen delivery trucks provide high-purity oxygen, which can help military aircraft reduce logistical and maintenance pressures, making all refueling operations for any aircraft, including fighter jets, easier and faster.

9. Chemical industry

Can be used to manufacture chemical products such as pharmaceuticals, dyes, explosives, etc. Taking the production of synthetic ammonia as an example, oxygen can oxidize the feed gas, thereby increasing the yield of ammonia fertilizer.

10. Mechanical industry

Oxygen can be used as a combustion aid in combination with combustible gases such as acetylene and propane, producing temperatures above 3000 degrees Celsius, achieving the function of welding and cutting metals.

11. Aquaculture

By increasing the oxygen content in fish ponds, fish can increase their food intake and grow rapidly.

12. Kiln assisted combustion

Kiln assisted combustion, commonly referred to as oxygen rich combustion, is an efficient energy-saving combustion technology that burns with oxygen-containing gases higher than the air oxygen content (20.947%). Significant energy-saving effect, effectively extending furnace life, improving melting rate, shortening heating time, and increasing production; The defect rate has decreased and the finished product rate has increased. The environmental protection effect is outstanding.

13. Metal welding and cutting

In welding, oxygen can make fuel burn more fully, at higher temperatures, making welding faster and better. In oxygen fuel cutting, the torch tube is used to heat the metal to its ignition temperature. Then, an oxygen flow is sprayed onto the metal to burn it into metal oxides, which flow out of the slit in the form of slag.

14. Fermentation process

In aerobic deep culture, the supply of oxygen is always one of the important limiting factors for successful fermentation. The improvement of ventilation efficiency reduces the use of air, and further reduces the opportunities for foam formation or bacterial pollution.

15. Laboratory research

The research on topics such as “oxygen bar”, “increasing oxygen uptake, reducing postoperative infections and antiemesis”, and “hyperbaric oxygen therapy for sudden deafness” inevitably requires the use of oxygen, mostly small and portable oxygen concentrators, to meet the oxygen usage needs in scientific research experiments.

16. Oxygen enriched system

In low oxygen environments in high mountains, plateaus, and high-altitude areas, hypoxia can prevent the human body and brain from functioning properly. Moreover, the higher the altitude, the greater the damage to human physiology. It has been proven that the oxygen rich environment established in enclosed areas, rooms or buildings on high plateaus can quickly and effectively alleviate fatigue, improve and enhance the working ability of the human body and brain. It plays an important protective role for people who migrate to highlands, especially those engaged in construction work or military operations on the highlands, and has very convenient and reliable practical value.

17. Military

In unstable locations and harsh natural environments, mobile oxygen production systems can ensure the health and good condition of personnel and equipment.

18. Waste combustion

Waste incineration treatment involves the thermal oxidation of combustible organic waste with oxygen at high temperatures. Under complete combustion conditions, the removal rate of organic matter can reach 99%.

As can be seen from the above, the application of oxygen is very extensive. In situations where there is a high and long-term demand for oxygen, establishing our own oxygen production equipment is an ideal choice for obtaining oxygen economically and conveniently.
